Help Transform the Party

The Montana Democratic Party is a public political organization whose members are elected during even year primary elections.  The next election for party precinct officers is on June 7, 2022.

These positions, precinct committeeman and committeewoman, are authorized by statute. 

There is no cost to file for these offices, as they are unpaid volunteer political positions.  Central committee officers, two from each precinct, help organize the local party, nominate elected officials for office, appoint election judges, and help set the party platform.

FILING DEADLINE IS MARCH 14, 2022.  FILE AT YOUR COUNTY ELECTIONS OFFICE.

These positions are important because there are some in the Montana Democratic Party that oppose singlepayer healthcare for all, and they will not support a presidential candidate that supports Medicare for All.    Having supporters of Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and other progressive policies in precinct spots will help ensure we have a platform and delegation that supports candidates who work for the people.

Please consider getting involved by filing to become a precinct committee officer.  Filing deadline is March 14, 2022.
